What will my photography session entail?

Expect a blend of warm, intimate, and playful prompts and posing with gentle direction and guidance when needed. I strive to create an environment where you can interact organically. Beautiful lighting, subtle prompting, and a quiet eye behind the camera to capture the sweetest moments. Digital downloads are always included with every session booking.

Frequently Asked…

  • Do I have full rights to the photos?

You will receive reproduction rights to all your images. This gives you the right for personal application only, so you can use them for prints, sharing on social media, etc.

  • Am I able to receive or purchase RAW files?

Nope, never. Much like a sourdough starter, skilled hands adept in bread-making produce the finest loaves. In other (less pretentious) words, you will only ever see or receive finished, edited photos. x

  • What if I want a photo in color or black & white?

Each gallery is carefully curated and some photos are just processed better and more attuned to my editing style when processed as a black & white. You can always ask! But it is not a guarantee for every image.

Got more questions?

  • This is a question I get asked so often, but my answer is always the same: wear what you love! For practicality purposes, however, I am happy to assist in coordinating outfits and give feedback about what photographs well and what can create some challenges. Reach out and let’s chat about it!

  • I utilize various studio spaces around Sioux Falls for studio sessions. Because I am not a member at any one studio, I am able to diversify, but it also means that our date needs to be fleshed out well enough in advance to secure a time slot! Studio sessions also require an additional fee — contact me for detailed pricing.

  • Elopements just might be my all-time favorite! I offer wedding services ranging from hourly coverage to full, half, or multi-day elopements and traditional wedding day services. Send me a message for a detailed Wedding Pricing Brochure to see what fits you and your wedding day!

  • I know how eager you are to receive your gallery and how agonizing the wait can be. I try to have galleries sent off within a week from your session, but a 2-3 week turnaround is expected during busier seasons with wedding galleries taking up to 8 weeks.

  • I love the hustle and bustle of extended family sessions! I offer two different session add-ons for groups of 8-12 and 13+. Reach out for additional pricing info!

  • In the wise words of Alexis Rose from Schitt’s Creek: “Nobody Cares. People aren’t thinking about you the way that you’re thinking about you.”

Not in a cynical way, but in a ‘Don’t overthink it’ kind of way. Wear what you love and you feel most comfortable in, breathe the moments in deeply, and just lean into interacting in the ways truest to YOU. Snacks do often come in handy for little people, though!

Hey, I’m So Glad You’re Here!

I’d love to work with you

When life has a way of feeling too fast, like too much to hold onto and you can feel the sands of time slipping between your fingers, a moment carved out for intentional slowness is a weary soul’s reprieve that every human deserves. Life is meant to be experienced in all of its nuance and savoring the playful, soft moments that elicit that real-time, existential nostalgia as they happen is an intrinsic part of the human experience. Why not have those moments on film?
